ART 220 - Graphic Design I

The goal of this project was to fuse two concepts into one cohesive symbol. The two concepts I selected were Mechanical and Music, which instantly reminded me of the Maverick Machine, the athletic band at MSU that I held a leadership position in.
I combined a gear and a snare drum into one symbol to represent my two concepts, as well as to represent what the Maverick Machine is about. The gear is an important symbol in the Machine, as each gear represents a member. I designed it using the official University branding color guidelines, and created mockups of my symbol to show how it would look in the context of the Maverick Machine.
